Claverton is five miles south of Bath, directly off the A36 (Warminster Road).
Coming from Bath, head out of the City following signs towards Frome and Warminster. Claverton is the next group of buildings once you have left Bathampton on the Warminster Road (about 2 miles after Bathampton). Just after entering the small village and the signpost marking the start of Claverton, Ferry Lane is 300 yards on the left hand-side straight after the layby bus stop.
Arriving from the South and crossing the viaduct at Moncton Combe, drive past the Murco / Spar petrol Station on you right hand side. 1 mile later, as you enter the small village of Claverton, Ferry lane is on the right hand side, (100 yards past the turning on the left for The American Museum).
Head down Ferry Lane where you can park temporarily just over the canal bridge.
Once you have unloaded, turn right at the top of Ferry lane and head back towards Bath. 200 yards along and directly after the lay-by on the right hand side, you will see a gate, with the sign ‘BATHAMPTON A.A. PRIVATE FISHING’. You can park your car here for the duration of your stay. The canal is just down the track at the bottom of the field.
